What type of outfit is best to wear to a Derby Day party?


I've never understood how to maintain ties. I always wear mine in a windsor knot. When I undo the knot, there are crinkles all over the place. Is this unusual? Should I be ironing my ties? How can I best maintain my ties so that they are with me for a long time to come?

It's Labor Day, and I hear there are rules about this. Do I need to put up the summer clothes, or can I wait until the thermometer drops a little more?

It's almost seersucker season. What shoes should I wear with my spring stripes?


I will soon be interviewing in the investment community and was curious if a three button suit was appropriate. I find myself looking better in three but have heard that only two button is appropriate for interviewing. I know navy or charcoal is the appropriate color but have also heard different things when it comes to black. Also I will be getting married soon and need to purchase a tuxedo, because of my athletic build I have a hard time looking nice in a rental. I really like the three button notch, as I do with suits but again was curious as to it appropriateness in situations other than my own personal wedding.
